The emergence of AI is not all about solid preservation of the status quo in the face of a rapidly changing world, nor is it about unthinking experimentation that runs the risk of losing that which matters most. Binary thinking is not helpful. We need a nuanced approach that helps us make incremental gains in ensuring that what we do in schools with and within AI (and with everything) is fit for purpose for a school for tomorrow.
